GT Glory Days

GROUP C 1983-1993
In an effort to halt the Porsche steam roller in 1981 IMSAs John Bishop created GTP which lead to the international Group C classification.
A new era of sportscar racing dawned. Porsche were again quick to take advantage but were quickly reeled in by the sleek and powerful prototypes from Chevrolet, Ford, Jaguar, March, Nissan & Toyota. Equally intense battles were waged lower down the grid in the extremely popular GTLights, GTO & GTU fields.

Privateers in Prototypes. Factory GT cars take overall wins.
GROUP E 2003-2013
LMP. IMSA. Grand Am
HSR cars that are not eligible for Groups A and E will be arranged in suitable classes based on specifications, tires, etc. so as to create fair competition within the group and classes.
