Daytona International Speedway, Sebring International Raceway, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and Road America a “Top-Five” of Legendary U.S. Race Circuits to Conclude 2023 HSR Racing Season
ELKHART LAKE, Wisconsin (September 16, 2023) – Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) charges into its season-ending stretch of races this weekend at Road America to launch a “Top-Five” schedule of blue chip events on legendary U.S. road courses in the final months of 2023. The opening event is off and running right now with HSR’s guest appearance at the Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association (VSCDA) Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival (ELVF) this weekend.
Just next weekend, HSR returns to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for the HSR Fall Historics, September 21 – 24. The perfect complementary event to each April’s HSR Mitty at Michelin Raceway, the Fall Classic has developed an appeal and popularity of its own and is the first of three return visits to race circuits in the final five-race stretch.
Not slowing down for a second, HSR’s third-straight race weekend follows Road America and Road Atlanta with a return visit to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (WRLS). After sanctioning the last three runnings of the Rolex Monterey Motorsport Reunion and Monterey Pre-Reunion at WRLS – including last month’s 2023 Reunion events – HSR has been enlisted for the first time to officiate and run the ample schedule of historic racing events at Rennsport Reunion 7, September 28 – October 1.
Set for its ninth running in 2023, the HSR Classic Daytona presented by IMSA, returns to the “World Center of Racing” November 1 – 5. The HSR Classic Daytona is once again followed in 2023 by its HSR Classics sister event, the HSR Classic 12 Hour at Sebring, Pistons and Props, presented by the Alan Jay Automotive Network. The eighth-annual running of the HSR Classic Sebring 12 Hour will be held on the legendary Sebring airport circuit, November 29 – December 3.
The HSR Classics events at Daytona and Sebring share the card each weekend, respectively, with the Daytona Historics and Sebring Historics races that will see all season-long HSR championships decided on two of the most iconic circuits in the country.

About HSR: Now an International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) property, Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) was formed in the mid-1970s with an event at Road Atlanta. There was one goal then and it remains true today: to celebrate the race cars from the past. As a “time machine” of sights and sounds, HSR provides a venue for competitors and spectators alike to share in the wonderful history and excitement created by the cars that competed at race tracks around the world. HSR currently sanctions eight vintage and historic racing events at some of the world’s most renowned race tracks, including Road Atlanta, Sebring International Raceway, Daytona International Speedway and more.
